Embracing the American Muscle Scene
In 2004, I relocated to the United States, where the roar of American Muscle couldn't be ignored. The sheer power and brute-force approach fascinated me, leading me to blend this raw energy with the agility of small European hatchbacks.
A Fusion of Styles: VW GTI and LT1 Power
In 2005, a pivotal idea struck me – a fusion of a 1988 VW GTI with the formidable LT1 engine from a 1997 Pontiac TransAm. This project pushed the boundaries of my skills, requiring a blend of knowledge from different automotive realms. The internet was in its infancy, with limited resources, so I turned to books, friends, and hands-on experience.

Over the next decade, I undertook numerous projects, honing my craft and expanding my capabilities. Despite my diverse experiences, a particular idea from 2005 continued to linger in my mind – the fusion of a VW Golf with American Muscle. This vision ultimately paved the way for the creation of R59-Automotive.
